Ceequel® Connectivity Options

Local Connections

TCP/IP (Network)

This is the most common type of connectivity, terminals can simply be plugged directly into your existing Local or Wide Area Network. Both wired and wireless standards are supported. Each terminal is assigned a unique IP address and data is sent to the server in relatime using XML.

Direct Connection (Serial/USB)

Where terminals can be connected either via USB or RS232 directly to a PC, alternatively via an RS485 - RS232 converter depending on the number of terminals and cabling length required.

Remote Connections

GPRS Connectivity

GPRS connectivity is especially useful when you have no Local/Wide Area network or your site is frequently changing location, the only connectivity required is GPRS via a mobile SIM Card. The data from these terminals can be collected in real time and as the data is compressed to a very small package, the cost of the GPRS service is minimal.

VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Terminals can be connected via a Virtual Private Network, this is typically used for remote sites where there is no Wide area Network coverage but internet access is available.

Analogue Modem

Generally used at extremely remote locations where no network or internet connection is available. Plugs directly into an analogue telephone line and data is collected on a polling basis (as frequently or infrequently as configured)
