Bradford Factor Reporting

The Bradford Factor identifies persistent short-term absence for individuals, by measuring the number of spells of absence, and is therefore a useful measure of the disruption caused by this type of absence. By counting the number of employees who take at least one spell of absence in the period, rather than to total number of spells of absence, the calculation gives an individual frequency rate.

Employee absence is a significant cost to 90% of businesses according to research from the CIPD. The latest employee absence survey reveals that on average sickness absence costs employers £666 per employee every year and employee absence costs employers 8 working days for every member of staff per year; this represents 3.5% of working time.

EU Working Time Directive

ELF Productivity working closely with the Health and Safety Executive have developed comprehensive software to help you to effectively administer the complexities of the working time directive.

This powerful time saving tool takes advantage of data that is already available within the Ceequel® Time and Attendance system.

Reports are instantly available on screen or to hard copy without the need for data input. The software has been especially designed so that you can see at a glance employees who are close to or have exceeded the working time rules, and with on screen reporting more detailed information is available by using the drill down facility.

This flexible module as been designed so that changes in legislation can be easily accommodated. Employees who have agreed to work above the maximum average hours per week are identified and can be reported on independently.

Exception Reporting

Exception reporting is a vital tool when managing a Time and Attendance system. It draws your attention to employees whose clockings are outside the rules

E.g. Employees who have :-

No clockings
Missed clockings
Hours more than expected
Hours less than normal
Late clocking

Exception reports can be produced centrally by a system administrator and distributed to line management for authorisation, comment or adjustment. Alternatively the line managers can edit direct on screen without the need for hard copy prints or the task of assigning reasons can be devolved to the employee utilising the employee self service module.

Audit Trail

Clockings are read in from the Time and Attendance terminals and stored so that they are always available for reference these transactions can not be edited. Copies of the transactions are taken for edit and override by authorised personnel. Changes to transactions are logged and recorded against the person who made the change.
