Companies of all sizes use many types of time and attendance
systems to gather information about the amount of time employees
spend on their work, when they clock on and clock off, what they
have worked on, detailed information of specific work tasks,
sickness, lateness, absences. Traditional, swipe & biometric
are types of time and attendance systems.
Some small companies still use time clock systems because they
are economical and easy to use, just plug the clock into the
wall, set the time and start recording hours. Automated time
and attendance systems provide an alternative to mechanical time
clock systems or paper based timesheets.
